Registered Psychologist
I'm a registered psychologist who's helped western Canadian families and children since 2001. I opened my first practice in 2001 in Alberta and relocated my practice to Victoria, BC, in 2008, when I moved to BC's capital with my husband and three children. I am a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologist of British Columbia.
I understand how challenging it can feel for people to feel comfortable sharing what's troubling them. That's why I always pay special attention to what can help my clients feel comfortable in my office. Patients of all ages can choose to enjoy play or art therapy, when we play or paint while exploring what's happening on the inside. Kids love the lego and many people love to paint ceramics or play with the sand trays and fidget toys during their session. The point is to make clients feel at ease and relaxed, to facilitate smooth conversations and change.
In addition to talk therapy and playful therapeutic techniques, my clients also value applying well-researched techniques such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) or EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), the gold-standard for getting past long-standing emotional issues.
If you're ready to explore working together, I invite you to schedule a complimentary consultation when we can decide together if this is a good fit for you. See what we do on our services page.

Every year thousands of Canadians delay or avoid asking for, and receiving help, postponing their opportunity to move forward toward improved well-being. Many will struggle with restless nights and anxious days for weeks, months and even years.
