BOOKING & PAYMENTS QUESTIONS
HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS?
- - Each session is typically 50 minutes long for therapy appointments.
- - Hear the child and Views of the Child assessments are 1 60 minute and one half hour appointment.
- - Psychoeducational Assessments are 6 hours long with 3, 2 hour appointments.
HOW MUCH ARE SESSIONS?
- - Each session is $120 for counselling unless otherwise determined by an insurance provider. We offer a sliding scale for those in financial need. We can discuss this during your first session.
- - Psychoeducational Assessments are $2300
- - Hear the Child Reports are $1100
- - Views of the Child Reports are $2400
ARE YOUR SERVICES COVERED BY MY MEDICAL INSURANCE?
Each plan differs. We'll issue you a receipt for the services provided. Psychologist services are covered whole or in part through various health insurance plans such as Pacific Blue Cross, Sunlife and Canada Life. Check with your plan provider to confirm your eligibility. Psychoeducational Assessments may be covered in part. MSP BC does not cover psychology services.
I am also on the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) list of approved service providers. Services are financially covered through them.

Do I need a doctor referral?
No. You can book directly with me. However, check with your insurance plan provider to see if they'll need one to cover my services.
What payment options are available?
You can pay by e-transfer, cheque, or credit card through PayPal. If you require a credit card payment, please ask.
WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
All sessions happen in my private office, which offers a comfortable environment with views to a private green space with many birds and squirrels.

WHAT IS EMDR?
"Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma and many other mental health problems." EMDR CANADA.

WHAT KINDS OF TESTS DO YOU ADMINISTER?
I offer Psycho-Educational Assessments that help us to determine your child's intelligence level and learning style. Tests administered are The Weschler Adult Intelligence Scale Fourth Edition, The Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children Fifth Edition and the Weschler Individual Achievement Test Third Edition among others. Questionnaires such as the Behaviour Rating Inventory of Executive Functioning, the Beck Anxiety Inventory and the Beck Depression Inventory may also be completed by clients, family members and or teachers.
My office is located at 2605 Dean Avenue in Victoria BC. Close to the Royal Jubilee Hospital.
